Our story has taken us from the fields of South Sudan to the communities of Mozambique and Sierra Leone. Throughout this journey, our commitment has always been hands on, focused on turning the ‘impossible’ into reality.
Over the past decade, we have devoted ourselves to agricultural and capacity building projects designed to empower economies and communities, creating new possibilities and instilling hope in places that were often overlooked.
Agriculture has been a central thread in our approach to sustainability, by supporting local farmers, promoting regenerative practices, and developing resilient food systems, we help ensure that growth is not only immediate but endures for generations to come.
Leadership and Local Partnerships
During his recent seven-and-a-half years as Managing Director of Dole Asia Holdings, Alex Rivera spearheaded the development of a pioneering pineapple plantation in Sierra Leone.
This area, once neglected in the aftermath of civil conflict, has now been revitalised through sustainable agricultural innovation and collaboration with local partners.
Alongside Alex, Farida contributed her corporate acumen and expertise in capacity building and skills development, equipping communities with the resources they need to take charge of their own future.
Their combined efforts have shown that agriculture is much more than a means of livelihood—it is a foundation for community resilience, environmental stewardship, and social progress.
